Finished a while ago which is a bit ironic given your user name!

L16:- Tereza Mihalikova (SVK) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR84 (43+41) def Shuko Aoyama (JPN) / Eri Hozumi (JPN) CR90 (46+44) 7-5 6-4

That's worth 108 points, but they both have a lowest counter of 98, so only a small gain

*****

QF:- Tereza Mihalikova (SVK) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR84 (43+41) v Timea Babos (HUN) / Luisa Stefani (BRA) CR84 (54+30) [4]

(Timea is down 1 and Stefani down 3 whilst Tereza is +0 and Liv is +0 in the new rankings. Almost seeded in a 500 !)

With as said now 108 ranking points for reaching the QF, all Olivia's counters will now be in the range 108 to 250 ( her WTA 250 Austin, TX title last March with other Olivia Gadecki )

Can she at some time this year push to an over 300 points week with at least a WTA 500 RU, a WTA 1000 SF or a Slam QF?

( she has had 280 points from her WTA 250 Granby title in 2022 with Lissey Barnett in the days before the WTA decided it might be quite a good idea to adjust title points in line with their renamed tournament categories )

Hey, why not this week?

Some great points in the highlights reel on the WTA tournament site

www.wtatennis.com/tournament/528/linz/2025/overview

(might have to scroll through to find it as there are some from each match)

If Olivia want to move up the rankings, she needs to go deep at these bigger events.
They are a decent pairing and more than capable of getting into the top 25 in the world

I had to go out at the end of the first set - anybody know what happened ?

Tereza on Instagram

Unfortunately I got injured right before the tournament started, I was able to push through in our first round yesterday, but was forced to retire today in our second round because it got worse.

I suspect their opponents realised she was suffering, because she saw a lot of the ball in the first set. It'sa pity, because they could have easily gone deep this week.

Is that score correct? It looks as if she lost rather than retired.

The TNNS App shows it as 3-6 0-2 retired
