Excellent win! Well fought, Billy!

Very much hoping he can get over that line tomorrow and take the title here. He really deserves to win one of these things!

About 60 points short, 30 on offer tomorrow.

Live rankings currently has Billy at WR 110 on 527 points.

WR 100 is Arthur Cazaux on 582 points.

If he wins tomorrow, he would likely only move up to WR 108, but points-wise, he'd be on the very cusp.

Jacquet seems to be on a right run of form. And I think hes due to play next week in Pune as well.

Come on Billy, show your metal

Thats a shame- nonetheless, Billy has had two strong weeks so far in India, at least relative to past recent form. One more good week in Pune next week and he can look back on a decent trip.

So whatever metal (!) he showed it wasn't a reactive enough one, more copper than calcium.

I know autocorrect is a nuisance but I have seen metal before instead of mettle, phased instead of fazed is common as well and I think some of these are ones that some people genuinely think are correct.

Wetting the apetite is the most common error (not typo) I see that people think is correct because it (sort of) makes sense and no one whets a stone any more

Metal and mettle would probably fit into the same category - metal is 'wrong' but it sort of makes sense and you can see why it might become accepted

Likewise "tow the line", "reign [someone] in" & "unchartered territory/waters".
