Agreed but would expect Esther rather than Lauryn.

How did Min Mahut get in then? I assumed she'd got a wildcard or won a wildcard through some play-up system? (she's pint-sized but I like her gumption and energy on the court )

She was 43 on the alternates list, and Vic Allen at 47 also made the draw. There were a number of Brits above them that didn't sign in, so basically the top thirteen that did made the draw.

A few of the Brits above Vic - Amelie Brooks, Fran Simpson, Summer Yardley, Sirena Waas (along with Sophya Devas) - are in a UTR in Denmark starting tomorrow.

She may have asked for 1 WC in this swing with a preference for Manchester or she may be saving them for the other GB swings later in the year. Of the 6 WCs she's allowed, she's going to need 1 or 2 WCs for the grass season and there'll probably be a couple of WCs coming from Octagon which only leaves her with a couple to play with for the rest of the year.
