Good result and pleased as she has a more upward trajectory than Alice, who is Mid 20's and stuck in the 600 bracket.
I have the opposite point of view. I always want the more senior player to win. The likes of Alice and Freya may never become superstars but they are to be commended for continuing to battle the odds. Without them there would be no players for juniors to measure their progress. Juniors have junior events to play and always get wild cards into senior competitions. Over 21's rarely have such good fortune

Freya is too erratic has tremendous power but makes too many mistakes.
Would love her to get back to her CH but I just cannot see it
Yeah and at this level, and given it's pretty weak on the Brits front, a few GB v GB matches featuring our qualifiers is no bad thing in terms of guaranteeing someone decent points.
The first matches aren't being streamed on the ITF site today, which isn't encouraging for later (I was hoping to watch a couple of the doubles matches GB girls are involved in)

If it's helpful, Bet365 has full screen streams of the first matches
(am watching a little of Clervie, and the French teenager, Sarah Rajaonah)
