Ill call the votes slowly, 1 at a time time from A to H. So H may get a few mins longer to vote as it actually clocks out at 9.30 and Im calling them from 9.
I see that there were overall 16 women and 16 men with 4 votes or more. But as it shook out that was not enough for 5 of the men to get through to the SF. So we have the 16 / 11 SF split.
JoMo was the only player to get 5 votes, so 1 more than 4 players who got through with 4 votes, but he ended up 4th in the tight Group D. Arthur was 5th in that group with 4 votes. In other groups Julian, Marcus and Kyle each finished 4th with 4 votes.

My instinct is that in the semis, as the groups have slightly more women than men, we will probably see a man and a woman get through each group, making it a 3 men and women final: probably not a startling prediction, though!
Going to be interesting. As far as I am concerned in R1 it's just about voting for my true favourite in each group. Any player needing tactical help at this stage isn't going to be a long term contender.
But in the SFs some may choose to lend out a vote or two to try and get the 'right' 6 players into the final. And on their heads be it
