Favourite British Tennis Player - Round One - Group D

Ok, 5th year of our Favourite British Tennis Player vote. Started in 2020 and been able to run it most years since!

64 players, 48 singles and 16 doubles, 32 men and women each. Divided into 8 groups of 8. 

Top 3 from each group plus ties go through to the semis

24 + players in the semis, into 3 groups of 8. Top 2 plus ties then progress to the final of 6 + players, from which the Board favourite player in 2025 will be crowned

Reigning champ is Heather Watson

Winners in the past are:

2020 - Dan Evans

2021 - not held

2022 - Andy Murray

2023 - Andy Murray

2024 - Heather Watson

VOTE WILL CLOSE WEDNESDAY EVENING AT 9PM - IF YOU VOTE PLEASE DO SAY WHO AND WHY AND TRY AND PERSUADE OTHERS TO VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE - THIS IS A NO HOLDS BARRED COMPETITION AND I WILL PROVIDE REGULAR UPDATES. TACTICAL VOTING IS VERY MUCH ALLOWED!   

Each group has 4 men and 4 women, no seeding, no trying to align players based on any perception of favouritism! Totally random apart from 4 men and 4 women!, and each group has 3 singles men/women and 1 doubles man/woman

This one had me torn between Henry and JoMo - but JoMo is probably the second most exciting player in GB tennis right now - I hope henry gets through and I get to vote for him next round!!

The semis groups will be placed entirely on round one position, no organising around gender lines or singles v doubles:

Semi 1 - A1, B2, C3, D1, E2, F3, G1, H2

Semi 2 - A2, B3, C1, D2, E3, F1, G2, H3

Semi 3- A3, B1, C2, D3, E1, F2, G3, H1

Work it out and if you think it impacts your vote, use this info as you will!

Henry for me. Very enjoyable to watch and I loves how calm and reliable he was during the Wimbledon final.

I don't know much about JoMo, but clearly he's one to watch over the next year.

 Definitely, hard to know where we will get to with votes - weve had 32 here so far, last year we got circa 37 or so in each opening round group, but we have almost a day left so could exceed that number this time. And who knows where those half dozen to a dozen votes will go?
