Favourite British Tennis Player - Round One - Group F

Ok, 5th year of our Favourite British Tennis Player vote. Started in 2020 and been able to run it most years since!

64 players, 48 singles and 16 doubles, 32 men and women each. Divided into 8 groups of 8. 

Top 3 from each group plus ties go through to the semis

24 + players in the semis, into 3 groups of 8. Top 2 plus ties then progress to the final of 6 + players, from which the Board favourite player in 2025 will be crowned

Reigning champ is Heather Watson

Winners in the past are:

2020 - Dan Evans

2021 - not held

2022 - Andy Murray

2023 - Andy Murray

2024 - Heather Watson

VOTE WILL CLOSE WEDNESDAY EVENING AT 9PM - IF YOU VOTE PLEASE DO SAY WHO AND WHY AND TRY AND PERSUADE OTHERS TO VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE - THIS IS A NO HOLDS BARRED COMPETITION AND I WILL PROVIDE REGULAR UPDATES. TACTICAL VOTING IS VERY MUCH ALLOWED!   

Each group has 4 men and 4 women, no seeding, no trying to align players based on any perception of favouritism! Totally random apart from 4 men and 4 women!, and each group has 3 singles men/women and 1 doubles man/woman

Ive enjoyed seeiing Luke rise and long may it continue. Despite his travails, Dan is still the man for my vote here

The semis groups will be placed entirely on round one position, no organising around gender lines or singles v doubles:

Semi 1 - A1, B2, C3, D1, E2, F3, G1, H2

Semi 2 - A2, B3, C1, D2, E3, F1, G2, H3

Semi 3- A3, B1, C2, D3, E1, F2, G3, H1

Work it out and if you think it impacts your vote, use this info as you will!

Sonay for me this year. Really enjoyed her success and the way she's moved up and on.

Had to think about it though. Luke and Dan were strong contenders.

A good number of votes in all groups so far - reminder these first round votes all close at 9pm this evening - at least approximately. If they run on, its because home life gets in the way! But dont chance it as you never know what is in store!

If there is a tie for any of the qualifying places, which semis group will be decided secretly by me with the toss of a coin or some such - either way, trust me that it will be totally fair! Obviously not for going through - ties get through - just for which group they subsequently land in
