Is that the first time Jon you've listed the current points totals by name. Wonder if that affects the voting at all?
As a rule, I dont do it in the Pom voting as I feel that needs to be a more formal process.
for the favourites votes, i see it as a no holds barred thing - persuade others to go with your favourite, vote tactically , lets be open about it etc etc.
it may well influence people and how they vote, I dont think that matters in the favourites votes, as it is primarily a bit of fun. if youre , say , a Jodie fan and you see Fran second to Jake, will it make you vote Fran to stop Jake winning? I have no idea!
will being open about the scores encourage others to get their vote in, perhaps if they were a lazy Fran fan, and decided to go for it? Again, maybe, who knows?!
Anyway, thats my logic or rationale behind giving out the scores !
If you log out (or don't login) you see all the voting numbers, as you do once you've voted. So Jon's not giving info that can't be found.
Thats also true! Im just saving folks a job !
i imagine a fair number of people do see the information the way Jane describes, although others wont. Nonetheless, it is visible and available to all, as Jane says!
