Week 8 - ATP 500 - ExxonMobil Open - Doha, Qatar (hard)

Nice to see Joe and Neal actually win a match and now two! You'd think Harri and Henry would be too strong for them but I'd still like to see them win a third in a row

QF:  Matteo Berrettini (ITA) WR 35 (CH = 6 in January 2022) vs (8) Jack Draper WR 16

That will be a test!

Nice, 3 of the 4 semis pairings, 5 of the 8 players, include/are Brits

I see that Carlitos (1) lost out to the rising young Czech, Jiri Lehecka (WR 25), by 3-6 6-4 3-6 earlier.  He will be Jack's opponent in the SF if he gets past Berrettini.

It's felt that the more this match goes on, the more Jack is wearing Berrettini down, having to save so many break points

Good result for Jack - Berrettini looks to be in fine form. And "just" 16 aces today - although how does he manage 220ks out wide so consistently !
