I dont think anyone will be surprised by that. Covered his airfare and a little more, I guess.

And gets a week off so every cloud and all that.

So Billy's out in IW, do players get to practice at IW and use the gym etc. I was wondering how they get their practice in for thenext tourney after they've been knocked out.

I read an article saying that IW is very generous in terms of allowing players to stay on and practice. Not sure what they do in terms of covering any accommodation.

Not surprised about Billy result. Aside from the jetlag, Mmoh was a Top 100 player before his injury and I believe has a higher ceiling.

Well, you may be right but he lost his next match to a guy who's about the same ranking as Billy and not a risign star

The only two times I've seen Mmoh play live, he was unpleasant on court, and not particulalry impressive in terms of tennis either

Good to know. Fascinated about the tour really works for the likes of those who are in that sort of ranking bracket.

Mmoh's father was Tony Mmoh who also played tennis to a high level. He represented Nigeria in Davis Cup and at the 1988 Olympics. He's got an interesting family mix.

And yes Mmoh lost his next match, but was to a player Adam Walton who has recently broken into the Top 100. I just think it's the case that Billy has maximised his talent which very few players can say.

and yes re ancestry!

Tony is Nigerian, Mmoh's mother is Irish with also Australian ancestry. Mmoh was actually born in Saudi Arabia. And according to Wiki, Mmoh married his girlfriend, Croatian tennis player and IMG Academy tennis instructor Klara Mrcela on September 9, 2024.

Tony Mmoh (Dad) lives in Jamaica now, according to Wiki, not sure if that is with or without Mrs Mmoh (Mum).

Mmoh lives in Bradenton (near the IMG academy presumably) - but where in this process does the US come into it as a nationality!!

Obviously pleased with Cam's result although surprised by the score. Probably not going further but hoping to be surprised.

Whilst Lehecka is in form, and Cam hasnt been, he is a past champion here, the scene of his biggest title, so he clearly likes the place. Some are saying despite the surface change, its as slow as ever, hopefully that will suit Cam?!

but well done on a good opening win.

Cam made very light work of that match, which will give him confidence, especially if he court surface remains similar

Certainly shows up how IW has been very good for Cam, including that 2021 title and generally not been good for the other Brits. And great to see him making such a good start again.

Just one thing. I think 1 win rather than 2 for Cam last year, ie. R1 bye, R2 win, R3 loss.
