I do wonder whether wrist preservation is one of the reasons Jake schedules his tournaments quite carefully. He always makes sure to give himself regular breaks between events
Cam drops first set 6-3. He's not doing a lot wrong out there and he's not being at all defeatist but Lehecka is so much sharper when it comes to the important points. Lehecka is a frightening combination of talent, vigour and youth and at the moment he's making Cam look like yesterday's news, but there's still time to turn it around or for Lehecka's level to dip a little...
Well done Cam for taking it to a third set. Lehecka may have dipped just a little as hoped for he was certainly firing into the net a lot more but it was sheer grit and determination from Cam for the most part.
Just watched the final few points. Lehecka kind of gifted it at the end, blasting a short forehand wide and then double faulting on match point. But great result for Cam, he looked delighted at the end.
