 Decoturf is what the US Open used to use until a few years ago. it was changed to Laykold in 2020, having been decoturf since 1978

Still no play today. With many first round matches still not complete I assume the tournament will be abandoned?

I didn't think so - it was blank this morning and then got filled in and I thought there was no play apart from that one game in that other match yesterday

But, yes, maybe ..... 

PS The site's OoP is as I understood it - it has one match as waiting to be finished that was 0-1 and the other match - the retirement one - being a start from scratch match

And their website suggests that play is underway - nothing about the TNNS time - they claim the weather has finally cheered up a bit

But not conclusive.....

This is the tournament's current schedule, with play (I believe, but no guarantee) underway: 

 Saturday, from 10 a.m.  Pending matches of the 1/16 finals .

 Saturday, from 1 p.m.  1/8 individual finals and doubles quarter-finals .
 Sunday, from 11 a.m.  Individual quarter-finals and doubles semifinals .
 Sunday afternoon, from 3 pm  Individual semi-finals and doubles final .
 Monday, at 12 p.m.  Grand individual final .

Well that all sounds very encouraging except that Hannah still hasn't played her round of 32 match!!!

To be fair though, the 1/16s ARE in fact the round of 32

(i.e. it's not the last 16, it's the 1/16ths - like the 1/2s are not the last 2, they're the last 4)

And there are 9 first round matches to be completed - but they have assigned 11 courts for today's play.

 Only 10 courts, no? 

1,2,3,4,5,9,11, TBA 1, TBA 2, TBA 3

 

And this morning they had 10 R1 matches up first - the one that finished by retirement was played this morning as part of that 10
