That was a very big and very brave second serve at *5-3, but she is rewarded and a screamer of a return winner to win. Tears of happiness and probably more relief.
That was such a tense match, with first one then the other looking a certain winner. Emma's next round should be a lot easier as its between the 30th seed and an unseeded player.
Wonderful. I'm not quite sure how she did that, but wonderful. Wish I could have heard her on court interview. Only watching on betting site at moment, hope it will be available somewhere??
From the way Navarro was dragging the rallies out in the second set deliberately thinking she could exhaust Emma to that extraordinary comeback in the third. What a match. Her first win over a top 10 player on a hard court.
Don't know if I can see her going any further though. I imagine that Emma will be aching in every muscle in her body tomorrow morning, don't know if there's enough recovery time.

Well done kiddo.
Ye3s, I thought just that. Very brave. Action of a champion.
Tim H would be proud the way she set up great positions, only to fold, only to play a blinding cross court winner, only miss a sitter of a volley .. and then do it again next game ..

She admitted her legs were 'gone' in the second set, which just makes the third set all the more remarkable.
Emma R was the better ball-striker - hitting through the ball better, on the front foot
Emma N was the better defender
BUT that huge lunge Emma R made in the tiebreak on that long, long point in the middle - it shows she CAN do it if she wants although I don't think she could have done many - it was running on fumes slightly by that point
