"She was not really able to stay in the rallies, there were a lot of problems to play on the move with the different speed, different spin and different angle," he said.

Footwork as per the Times article with Platenik.
Which is all to do with fitness, and willpower
It takes a lot of fortutide to force yourself to do all the little micro work you have to do with your feet
But she's hitting through the ball beautifully, not coming off it at all
Second sets gone. Did it take, too much out of Emma to get that first set. Navarro isn't number 10 in the world for nothing. I kind of think she has this now. Hope Im wrong!

Looks like the consistency of a top ten player who plays at this level match after match and tournament after tournament is too much for Emma, yet Emma's won a GS and Navarro hasn't.

Yes, agreed she has been striking the ball well, but so many of her shots are not penetrating, hence, in the rallies, eventually her opponent gets a good chance to hit a winner. The camera from behind was showing that she is not rushed into the shot. So if she's struggling with different speed and spin, it's subtle. Looks to me like she's usually too safe, and every now and again she hits some dream winners. A consistent serve would dramatically change her choice of first groundstroke, and impact upon her opponent's percentage of errors, increasing Emma's effectiveness significantly I reckon
