I used last weeks rankings when posting, but actually Mimi is officially at WR430 (up21) in the new rankings issued today, and Shiho Akita is WR449 (up 14).
442 is Mimi's CH, as shown on OER. LTR is a live ranking allowing for her dropping 6 points this week
Yes, OER's live ranking is currently for 17/03, a ranking of 430 on 131 points. Basically today's official ranking.
LTR's live ranking is for post Miami 31/03, a ranking of 436 on 123 points, actually down 8 points, that being dropping a 6 plus a 3 then adding back in 1 for entry here ( OER's forecast 31/03 ranking has her at 437 on 122 points, just not counting anything for here yet ).
The match was about 2 1/2 hours. Not sure whether she's played one that long. Looks like it might have been a fitness issue, which for me isn't a huge problem given her age and development.
Her match against the top seed in the previous week was 2 hours 22 minutes for three sets. She lost in the next round in a 2 hour three-setter. It might be a knock-on effect but she does appear to have the fitness to play for this length of time.
Its a tough old game , especially moving through to seniors. I like most are happy Mimi is competing hard and settling in to senior level. Dont think she has a tournament for a week or two so time to rest. Think Mimi could do with a coup,e of weeks at the Nadal Academy to hone up her clay court skills, like Hannah had.
