Been to an Edinburgh Fringe show today "CADEL: Lungs on Legs", a one-man show about Australian Cadel Evans' 2011 Tour de France win after two 2nds and various setbacks beforehand. The guy playing Evans does a great job, most of the time cycling on ( and occasionally falling off ) a standing bike, with the 2011 Tour interspersed with looking back from his childhood in Australia through various cycling tribulations.

It was very good. The show is transferring to London and then New York.

Bring on the 2027 Tour de France Grand Depart from Edinburgh.

 I saw 'Lance' by Kieran Hodgson in a Soho basement comedy club in 2015  

Another one-man comedy show about cycling - this one very much a Yorkshireman's version of his efforts, alongside his obsession with Lance

And ending with the Tour de France coming to Yorshire in 2014

Also nominated, I think, by Edinburgh Fringe for Best Comedy, or some such   

Brilliant - loved it 

Hate the Tour de France itself - good as siesta fodder, for falling to sleep to, in front to the telly on a hot French summer afternoon - but coldn't care less otherwise  

But love the sound of the show - will look it out (no idea if 'Lance' is still on anywhere but hope all's going well, Kieran)
