Dan gets the win!  I'm so pleased!  I only saw the final game where Dan broke serve to take the victory.  Let's hope he can put a few matches together...

I'm going to fix my schedule for tmrw so I can watch most of Dan v. Jac Berretini. 

CD, I also noticed vociferous supporters doing all they could to help Dan.  It seems strange for a Brit to have such support in a first round match in a Challenger in Italy. Can anyone throw some light on this?

Unrelated, but how come  Dalibor Svrcina is both an SE and the 3rd seed?

There were also a lot of noisy supporters backing Dan at the Italian challenger last week. Clearly Dan has a strong Italian fanbase!

Berretini played a horrible first service game.  Dan was able to keep ahead and has won the 1st set 6-4.  Dan didn't face any break points.

Solid play by Dan and he gets the early break in the second set. He leads 1-0.
