In the doubles draw, Lloyd and Julian get Zverev and Melo. Henry and Harri could play Neal and Joe in round 2.

Jack is with Machac and play Korda and Thompson. Jamie is with Ram.

Oh Cam! 4 straight losses now since that encouraging mini-run in Indian Wells.

Oof 4 losses in a row is rough for Cam! Hopefully he'll surprise us now and suddenly get 4 straight wins soon like Emma just did...but it's not looking great. He's always liked the clay and I'm still hoping it will help him find some form again!

Draper has either Shapo or Giron first. Then either Etchevery a qualifyer, Davidovich or Shelton in the last 16 so doesnt seem a bad draw like last time...but is due to meet Ruud in the last 8. Really interested to see how his Indian Wells form translates to clay

If Cam doesn't find the winning touch again over the next few weeks he will very likely find himself outside the top 100 and needing a WC to get into the Wimbledon MD.

He has a total of 200 points to drop from Barcelona, Madrid and Rome last year.

I can see Cam ending up outside the top 150 like Evo post-Wimbledon and needing to permanently return to those challengers

Disappointing. I really thought he was going to come back and grab that match. Years ago when he was on the Challenger circuit so many times he turned matches round when he looked down and out. so reliably that it was worth putting a bet on. I didn't this time, though I dare say there would have been a useful cash out at some point in this match. Aside from that , it's just really disappointing for him.

For those who like me don't get round to following the doubles as much as the singles but take an interest more when a singles players enters doubles:

L32: Sebastian Korda & Jordan Thompson (USA/AUS) CR 51 (46+5) vs Jack Draper & Tomás Machac (CZE) CR 284 (209+75).

Has Jack played doubles here before?

Playing today.

Also weird seeing Medvedev on today's OOP when the top 8 all have byes!

In past 12 months hes played a few times - with Machac in IW and Tokyo end of last year; Sinner at Montreal ; and he played with Cam at Queens.

did ok, got to semis in Tokyo and I think Montreal, withdrew at that stage in both. Won a round in IW with Machac.

so hes not bad!
