Although our 2 top ten ranked under 14s, Liv Zingg and Megan Knight, are playing the Nationals this week there are still a handful of Brits in the third under 14 Super Category event. The boys event has most of the top 10 present, but the girls doesn't, elevating Sofia Tatu to third seed
Two similar scorelines today, but this time just Sofia on the right side. She takes on last year's Auray winner, based at the Mouratoglou academy who is the highest ranked 2012 in Europe

Sofia wins in 2 sets. Sofia was patient and played the better clay court tennis (even if not very proactive with the ball) but Elizaveta was full of errors throughout. Well done Sofia, who is through to the final!

It is the third year running that we have a finalist here. In 2023 Hollie Smart lost to Ksenia Efremova whilst last year Eric Lorimer went one better, courtesy of a w/o in the final

Yes, just what I thought Oscariyan - like the bit I saw two days ago, Sofia is a little too clay courter for my liking (), but it's good athletic tennis, and she's quite a strong girl for her age, and given Anilina's pedigree (albeit a year young) Sofia did very well to get on top of her and stay that way
Making the final of a Super cat event is a huge deal - and winning it would be even 'huger'
