I went for Monfils this time. Any player who provokes an "oh good!" reaction when you realise they're in the next match on whatever tennis channel you're watching is always worth voting for!

26 votes - monfils now leads from Alcaraz. It will be a 5 pm vote close this evening, manually as I forgot to push the close button!

As an aside; its possible we will be out at 5 and if that happens it may extend beyond 5 before I get to it - in which case all 4 groups will close when I manage to get a chance to check, but dont take the chance on that and leave it if you havent voted! Real life conquers fantasy!

And a 27th vote takes Monfils two clear of Alcaraz and he , in turn, is 3 votes clear of third place

 

i had missed that we have a married couple in this group, Monfils and Svitolina! Will Gael lend any votes to Elina so she can catch Alcaraz?! Its ElIna in third !

 They have! Not in round one but this vote hasnt changed. I just hadnt spotted the connection til later
