Stojanovic has upped her game to win the 2nd set 6-3. Fran had to work a lot harder than in the first set. It's going to be a hard fought 3rd set I expect

Stojanovic wins it 7-5. Fran had at least 3 match points herself and it was a very gutsy performance. In sets 2 and 3 she was often overpowered but held in there until the end.

Really gutsy effort from Fran, saving 18/20 breakpoints in the third set, and having 3 matchpoints at 5-4, but lost in the end

L16:- Francesca Jones (GBR) WR134 lost to Nina Stojanovic (SER) WR187 2-6 6-3 7-5

Looking at the stats, from *2-4 15-40 in the final set, Fran saved 9 BPs in a 34 point game, broke back for *4-4, and then saved a further 4 BPs in the next game for 5-4*. Then had these 3 separate MPs to win it 6-4.

So yes, pretty gutsy!!! What a pity.
