There is a strong field in the boys event for a J200, with 9 players ranked inside 100, including Ben Gusic Wan and Mark Ceban. By contrast Brooke Black is the only girl ranked inside 100.
Qualifying is underway with live scores available here (game scores only in qualifying)
Early winners in round 1 of qualifying include Judy Zhang and Ciara Moore
Full qualifying draws (and main draws from Sunday evening) are available here
Thanks as always for the info David. Do we know who the WCs are for this event? I think April Sackflame and Sophia Cuninghame deserve WCs. And I guess Aran Selvaraasan will get one for winning the 16U junior nationals along with Megan Knght and possibly Daniella Britton.

I don;t know but Aran must be a wildcard as his name is on the entry list and he's not in the qualis draw (and, yes, you couldn't not give him one, given his title)
I expected someone like Felix would also get one, thanks to his 18U doubles title
But he didn't
Normally, they seem to keep giving the wildcards to Rhys/Eric/Scott but there's only so many times you can do that, surely......
For the girls, Annabel Wong and Rosie Cho are likely candidates - they're on the acceptance list but not in qualis and are likely contenders anyway. Same applies to Liv Zingg.
Neither April nor Sophia are still on the entry list so I think they're less likely (although possible, of course)

Not sure if April and Sophia are old enough and they wouldn't get wildcards into a J200. More likely a J30

April was on the entry list but withdrew - so I assume she's an early 2012 birthday and hence now 13 and old enough.
Don't know about Sophia
But, yes, a J200 is way too high for them, although a WC for qualis could possibly have been on the cards

April was 13 yesterday and has entered some upcoming ITFs. Definitely wouldnt get a wildcard for a J200. Probably a J30 and possibly a J60

So either she entered it and realised she was a day the wrong side? Or that she'd just about be OK but there was no way she was getting in so she might as well withdraw?
The main draws are out, resolving the conundrum about wildcards - they go to Liam Channon, Vincent Fletcher, Aran Selvaraasan and Leo Wright in the boys and Liv Zingg, Rosie Cho, Sophia Christodoulou and Annabel Wong in the girls

I got three out of four - I'll take it
Two GB LL spots too - Georgiana and Lara Savic
Hollie v Edie is a real 2009-er battle
Will be interesting to see the level of Maggie Sohns (USA) - she's 2010 and one of he USA's top prospects
But, overall, a very heavily GBR weighted draw for the girls - good points on offer
