Week 17 - WTA1000 - Madrid, Spain Clay

Broke for *2-0 but was broken back.

Then missed 40-15* at 3-2* and broken herself despite saving 5 break points including from *0-40. Missed one game point.

And that game was the match. Felt like whoever got it would take it and so it proved.

Harriet loses 6-4 6-7(3) 6-3.

I mean she did a very good job to turn the match around, but still feels like one that slipped away at the end.

Don't worry. I felt very ambivalent. Maybe when we get to the grass again I'll have softened up but I only tuned in from the back end of the second set as it's a rainy Easter Monday here with nothing else to watch!

Yes, like you, I'm sure I'll 'get over it' smile

But I'm not quite there yet.....

Nice win for Fran - a wobble from 4-2 to 4-4 in the second but Laura helped her out by serving 4 doubles in the next game, and Fran then finished strongly

Great win for Fran. Another tough one next but she's more than capable of winning it.

Or quite a lot later given it's women's tennis, on clay smile
