Or quite a lot later given it's women's tennis, on clay smile

 Fran's FQR match ( on Stadium 3 ) is also 4th on after a 10am BST start.

The match before Katie's is just warming up, so she might start around 16.00 to 16.30.

Bit of a pattern of going well behind early, dragging herself back into it, but doing to just a little to late.

*3-4

Both girls come through tough holds (no break points faced). Katie then goes from *30-0 to set point down....

Drat. That's disappointing, she got herself right back in it and should have closed out that game. Twice she lost four points in a row from *30-0 that set

4-6 0-0*

Fran was a break down, now 5-4* first set.

Katie had a point for *5-0 in the second.

Now *4-1 but some real battling games which she's come through in this set.

Really, really sporting behaviour of Siniakova to give Katie the first serve when the umpire gave it as a second

Fran was broken from *40-0 and went on to lose the second 3-6, but has just broken in the third. *2-0

Katie also broke and has just held a tough game for 3-1*

Super stuff Katie - Siniakova got steadily worse but Katie played some very good tennis and kept her own game very tidy and aggressive. That's a good achievement winning a match on clay at this level.

4-6 6-2 6-1

Fran now *5-1 in the third.

I mean Katie never going to move like Rafa on clay- but she did an ok job of not moving around too much and also helped with Siniakova hitting 60 UEs- but we shall take it!

How many wins does Katie have on clay at wta level?
