Week 18 - ITF W35 - Nottingham - Hard

I just tried to look at the ITF live scores page for Katy's match, but it says there are no matches occurring today, which is of course rubbish. I didn't think this web site could get any worse but... Fortunately I found the score and a stream on EN sports

I was watching via the ITF website using the men's M25 stream. But it keeps freezing so I'll look elsewhere.

For those people who work in places which block sites such as betting and videos (and the itf site), you have to get creative.  Luckily youtube is allowed as it is used for a number of training videos!

Good win for Katy after a slow start. Constructing the points well and looking solid and pretty fit.

Main draw WC's are Daniela, Brooke, Angelica and Megan. The draw is out but as qualifying isn't complete yet it will be a little while before I post.

I'm sure Lambda will predict the last two wildcards. It is not easy to work out.

My guess is Freya may have one (being local) - she withdrew on 15 April, as did Emily A. Not sure where Hannah is this week but Mika should already be in the main draw. Eliz seems to be playing for Loughborough but is a possibility. Only other name that springs to mind is Beth, but she hasn't played since November.

Yeh - nailed it - Megan's in there biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

(although mine was 'intuition' - Lambda had the proper reasoning - and also got the call on Angelica Blake so well done to him

Nice to see quite a lot of the juniors and others staying for the doubles

And hats off to someone like Aimee Bromfield - I'd almost vote her for PoM - put yourself in for it - be part of GB tennis - the empty space against the top seeds upsets me - well done, Aimee (and others)
