Boulais actually beat Giles last time they played (only time they played) in Edmonton, so this always had a possible upset on it. I think that was when Giles did his crazy dash across Canada to get from the final of one event to qualies in another on the same day and he did it - not sure if that was Edmonton, but think it was part of that trip at the end of 23.

Another day, another Charles win at silly odds ( this time he was at least favourite but just 4/6 ). Thank you, Charles

If I recall, Charles has a lot of points to defend in the grass season, as do others like Paul Jubb - so a few decent results would do nicely over the next month or so.

Unless George Loffhagen can upset Blake Mott, looks like it will be just Charlie and , hopefully, Ali G into the quarters for the men. Just 2 for a domestic British ITF is a relatively poor return, I think.

I'd definitely tip George to beat Blake. In fact in the early stages of their match he is 1/5 on favourite with the bookies, which may be a bit too strong but still.

*1-2
