Good win for George - I watched bits of the match and just like in round 2, he toughed things out when not quite at his best, and showed some moments of real quality when he needed it.
Was impressed with his resilience as he was getting quite frustrated at times - was on the verge of breaking a racket after getting broken early in set 2, and then belted a ball out of the court at one point in the third.
Came from 3-1 down in the decider, then there was a mammoth game on his serve at 4-4 which could easily have gone the other way. Glinka had 15-40, but George belted down two massive serves, eventually held after multiple deuces and then broke to love to clinch the match.
Some big serving, impressive forehands, a bit of variety - he tried some serve-volleying. Probably still needs to work on his defensive game and speed around the back, but it's great to see him making the most of his talent and closing in on a career high ranking.
Tomic tomorrow will be interesting - obviously there's no way that Tomic should be playing ITFs with his talent, he should really be in the top 50 and heading to Rome....
Charlie had a right humdinger with Boulais last time they played, also part of that epic Canadian trip back end of 2023 when Giles and Charles charged around Canada - that one was in Drummondville and Charles won in a final set tie break
