That's some scalp for Billy. Next round will be much tougher though, I fear.

Been ludicrously busy for the last 8 weeks but going to try and drop in more often now.

Yeah.... we know fair-weather friends like you biggrin

We, the true diehards, suffer through Cat 2 British Tour events, and M15 qualis in far-flung places, and J60 juniors in rainy February

And then you waltz in for the sunny clay court crowns, to get ready for Glorious Wimbledon

Yeah..... no

(Seriously, Bob, great to see you back, we missed ya' ! smile)

I'd like to say I am just waking up from my winter hibernation but it's been quite the opposite LOL.

L16: (3) Tallon Griekspoor (NED) WR 35 (CH = 21 in November 2023) defeated Billy Harris WR 105 6-3, 6-4

Good battle from Billy, but as to be expected, Tallon was a bit too good

Billy is now live ranked 103 with 582 ranking points, with the current live ranked 100 on 615 points.

Not Billy's highest ever ranking ( he has been WR 101 ) but it will be his most ever ranking points.

It does look like with a decent draw ( and he will be in the top seeds ) he is capable of winning a RG Q round or two.

I hope so.  My fear is that if he doesn't do it now, he may miss the boat altogether.  So many grass court points to come off.

At least the first 2 grass court weeks have relatively much less to come off compared to the mega Queen's and Eastbourne weeks from last year.

Points due off :

09/06: 35 ( + 16 from RG )

16/06: 35

23/06: 100

30/06: 100

So maybe still a top 100 chance early in the grass season. He is entered in ATP Challenger 125 Birmingham In the week beginning 02/06.
