But Fran hasnt entered Ilkley. He ranking would have put her in the main draw.
Sorry, yes, I see the list in detail now.
Despite the LTA putting the list up, the WTA website (very new look since I last went onto the WTA site) say it (and Queens) players lists aren't released yet.
I think previous grand slam winners can request and be granted one still? Maybe why the last one hasnt been announced yet?
A "interesting" statistic I discovered the other day is that there are at present 14 holders of a Grand Slam title now active, of which 4 have won more than one.

As hosts presumably the LTA are allowed to announce first to maximise promotion. And not sure the WTA has ever been the go to for up-to-date info.

I think there are 6 still (barely in some cases) active Grand Slam winners with more than one slam if you include Kvitova for eg.

I make it 7 if you count Venus as still active (she has not retired, though apparently it's now nearly 2 years since she last played)
I assume mens qualifying will be going on at same time as womans main event so wont be able to go and watch?
Men's Qualifying is on the Saturday and Sunday, which are the days of the women's SF and F. The LTA website says that ground admission tickets for those days are sold out (apart from wheelchair). So no chance this year.
I hadn't thought about that overlap. I left it too late to get a ticket for the ATP event but did manage to get one for the WTA event. I'd thought to keep an eye out for qualifying tickets, which I've had before and are usually available much nearer the time. But sadly that's not going to happen.
