This time last year, the men had already clocked up 38 wins - it will be 24 wins this season once JPJ and Billy are done. Not quite hitting the heights yet, despite a strong week in Ilkley

No one has predicted Oli, Dan, JPJ or JoMo to top this. Jack D yet to get started, of course.

An excellent win for JPJ today, whilst Oli lost, and that moves JPJ equal top now with Oli - but with further opportunities this weekend to go outright top

This competition will run to the very end. There are 15 direct GB entrants in to the Nottingham 50 main draw already so looks like there will be lots of opportunities for some wins there!

But none in Newport (which of course has been downgraded to a 125 event and a week earlier in the 2nd half of Wimbledon this year)

I think you are right - interestingly, the Newport entry looks like it could be lifted from Ilkley or Nottingham, minus the British players. Nottingham has them all - in order, JoMo, Oli, Ryan, JPJ, George, Ali G, Charlie B, Stuart P, Henry, Kyle, Arthur, Harry, Hamish, James Story, Liam . Allow 3 for wild cards and maybe a qualifier and it is a bumper field and will leave this open, definitely, maybe

Men in action today at Queens and Nottingham as Jack D, Billy, Jack PJ and Arthur are all in action, vying to join Dan, Jake, Jan and Ryan who are still in the competition as well.
