There was a short medical time-out in game #6. Hopefully both players ok.

Still think that the Tennis administrative bodies should have taken the opportunity during the Covid shutdown to restructure the elite competition. Under21's, Under 31's, etc or something like that, and give both enough importance to make it viable.

I still definitely think the elite, indeed the whole WTA rankings, should be pretty much as now - ie. all in with a minimum age no greater than 18. So I think I could just really see the argument re the entry age.

Katie won 6-3 6-3 - lots of breaks and a 2 hour match for her, but nice to see her get 2 wins on the spin.

Does anyone know how many ranking points that will gain her?

She'll get 6 points for making the SF

Excellent. Swan was up against a big serving opponent, in her previous [2 set] match Sahdiieva won 39 of first serve points. It was a different story for the Ukrainian today as Swan matched her with 20 first serve points won. That, and 8 breaks of serve too.

Pleasing result, just hoping she recovers well for the SF

That should put her back in the top thousand again - long way to go, but she is beginning to build up a few points. Hopefully she can win another match or two - that win was hard though and will have taken a lot out of her.
