The ATP Challenger Tour grass-court swing continues with the Lexus Ilkley Open at the 145-year-old Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club. Arguably one of the most picturesque venues on the Challenger circuit, the tournament is nestled adjacent to the idyllic Ilkley Moor, Cow & Calf Rocks and River Wharfe. With the rocks perched atop the moor, the expanse is 402 m (1,319 ft) above sea level, overlooking the town and surrounding countryside.
How a tournament can nestle is beyond me!
The LTA tournament page lists the Brits who will be competing, with Cam & Billy confirmed in the main draw, Cam as the likely top seed. Darts shows that most of the usual suspects will also be in attendance. This time round, Jay will be in qualies & seeded, along with JoMo & Paul Jubb, back from his not very successful (thus far) wanderings in the US. Oliver Crawford, Ryan P, George Loff, Charlie Broom, JPJ, Ali Gray, Giles Hussey, Henry Searle, Anton Mat, Stuart Parker, Arthur Féry, Aidan Mac, Harry W, Kyle & Hamish Stewart are currently lurking among the ALTs.

Ilkley is very nice as a venue, though, tbh. The Wharfe, that said, has been prone to flood at the site and Ilkley has more than once had the grounds flooded in the past - little danger this year, I suspect.

BTW, Maloney - not sure he is a Brit?
You're right, he isn't, he's a Yank. Name deleted. So used to seeing Brits called Patrick, I suppose...

Jay has a really hard draw section as does Billy and JPJ. Henry, in actual fact , I think he will trouble Wong and maybe win that.
Decided to go along tomorrow - my daughter is home and Ive more free time as a freelancer (my client is on holiday!) than when I was working and she persuaded me to take her along. Shes never been to tennis before - suspect shes never watched tennis before!
Year of firsts for her - her ex BF took her to her first football match this year, Benfica at home in the Portuguese Cup. Haha. Ilkley tennis cant quite match that!
Now just hope the weather holds, tomorrow says dry (but cold) through until late afternoon.
