Week 24 - WTA500 HSBC Championships Queens Club, London - Grass

Great stuff. Now we just need Jodie to beat Anisimova to set up Brits clash!

Sonay - that was superb. Though a little nervy

Live tennis has it down that if Emma wins her round 1 match tomorrow, she jumps Katie to be British number 1 regardless of the outcome of Katie's match. Not sure how this could be - is it down to the fact she has very high scores in her other 500s and so this isn't strong enough to count?

Sonay's composure is such an under-rated weapon; it has it's own sort of intimidation, especially in the tough moments.

Caught the end and super composed at the end, come on Jodie now that'd be amazing.

I presume Katie's points for winning Nottingham have dropped off

Get in there Sonay. Biggest win and up to 49 on the live rankings.

Isn't it great to see three British women in the live top 50.

Its because Katie is replacing her 250 points with a 60. She only gets 60 for a first round win. Hence she cant gain points wheras Emma can.

By the way pathetic from BBC to leave match at 5-3 to build up to Scotland v Liechtenstein friendly!
Would not have happened if Emma had been playing.

Not yet officially. But live rankings has shown the points dropping off.

I wasn't watching live, and can't find the end of the match or interview anywhere, only the start of Jodie's match. Has anyone got a link to the bit after it finished on BBC2 please.

It's showing on the BBC sport website - you can watch live or from whenever you like.

Jodie up a break as her opponent made an erratic start, but she's struggling with the Americans power a bit now.

*4-3

Yes, but the BBC2 stream finishes at 5-2, the the red button stream doesn't seem to start until Jodie.
