As much as I don't like the AELTC fiddling around with random grass court Challenger winners (just designate one a Wimbledon wild card play-off and have players enter on that basis), it's a darn site better than the ridiculous reciprocal wild card arrangements between Australia, France and USA, three countries that don't need wild cards that add nothing to the tournament.
Just give to the Brits and any star players, all of whom will add something to the tournament for fans and media. It's not that complicated. And maybe Lois Boisson, or have we already forgotten about her?

Just to be clear, for me, Billy is into the draw via ranking, yes?
Oli Crawford gets a nice call-up - worth switching nationalities for
Loffers, Jack PJ, JoMo - it's a really interesting, new look to the wildcards

Yes, Billy is in the main draw after withdrawals.from other players.
Loffhagen pretty lucky to get a main draw wildcard. Choinski unlucky but it did save a wildcard with him already in qualifying
Yes. I thought too - what about Jan? ( who is left as a qualifying DE ) I would have had him ahead of George. I like George, and wish he could play more, but I don't really see that as justified currently.
I thought Charlie Robertson would have received a QWC he was top Junior in UK last year.
he didn't win the nationals though
And he might still get one - there's a space left in the men's, isn't there?
Ane he supposedly has 8 wildcards into challengers this year - not sure I've seen him that much - maybe I missed it? Or he's keeping them for US hardcourt summer swing?
Following from discussion on other thread, these are my predictions for Men's wildcards.
MDWC
Clarke
Evans
Choinski
Monday
Jubb
Searle
Peniston
Wawrinka
QWC
Crawford
Loffhagen
JPJ
Gray
Hussey
Edmund/Fery
2x playoff
A few men (Matusevich and Parker come to mind from memory) have an excellent track record of winning the LTA play-off multiple times. It might make sense to consider them for QWC since they've shown that they have the necessary ability and opportunities can be more spread out. Just a thought? Of course, for every contender, someone else needs to be considered for exclusion. I think the problem with my idea is that these players have always lost in Q1 as far as I can recall. But it might be a good talking point?
Jan missing out is the shock for me. Disappointing. Theres one left but presume theyll wait to see how this weeks action goes - the only players left in from a British perspective that might be up for one with a good week this week would be if Arthur or Ryan impressed enough to get an uplift? Presumably they would not let it float or maybe it is those two versus Jan or some as yet unnamed overseas player ?
I'm glad that George has got one, a left-field choice but reward for plugging away in the futures, and we all know he's got the game to do damage at a higher level.
Good to see JPJ getting rewarded for his recent good form, and while Jan's been solid for many years in the 100-250 range, someone like Henry perhaps has a higher potential ceiling as we saw with his win over Bu in Queens qualies, even if he's yet to get that solid consistency

overall, I think this is such a brave, uncharacteristically brave, set of choices by the LTA / AELTC that I'm not going to nitpick about Jan
