Jan missing out is the shock for me. Disappointing. Theres one left but presume theyll wait to see how this weeks action goes - the only players left in from a British perspective that might be up for one with a good week this week would be if Arthur or Ryan impressed enough to get an uplift? Presumably they would not let it float or maybe it is those two versus Jan or some as yet unnamed overseas player ?
overall, I think this is such a brave, uncharacteristically brave, set of choices by the LTA / AELTC that I'm not going to nitpick about Jan
No, I agree in general, it is exciting for sure to see these choices. Just felt Jan should have got one, but I guess he will just need to get through qualies now!

There's one still availabke isn't there? I assume Jan will have a good chance if he can go deep this week being the only one able to...

I forgot Arthur was out and now Ryan as well, so just Jan - as you say. Maybe they are holding it back to see if he can get through another round or two.
1 Charles BROOM (GBR) and Joshua PARIS (GBR) 2 Daniel EVANS (GBR) and Henry SEARLE (GBR) 3 Billy HARRIS (GBR) and Marcus WILLIS (GBR) 4 Lui MAXTED (GBR) and Connor THOMSON (GBR) 5 Johannus MONDAY (GBR) and David STEVENSON (GBR)
And in singles qualies:
1 Oliver BONDING (GBR) 2 Nicolai BUDKOV KJAER (NOR) 3 Arthur FERY (GBR) 4 Paul JUBB (GBR) 5 Ryan PENISTON (GBR) 6 Oliver TARVET (GBR) 7 To be announced 8 Wild Card Play-off place 9 Wild Card Play-off place
Shame Jubb will lose a lot of points by not playing in Mallorca next week.
separately; I wonder why theyre holding back a qualies wild card? I dont think theres anyone left playing this week whod need one so not sure why theyd hold it back. Maybe theyll allocate three to the play offs?

And why arent Marcus and David together at Wimbledon? Why split up after playing this week? All due respect to Billy and JoMo, reckon thats a dud call. Billy and JoMo might have actually been a decent pair.

Yes, isn't this just bizarre pairings? Definitely made me go "huh?"

Just possible the Wimbledon wildcards had been decided beforehand, and Marcus was supposed to play with Billy at Queens but, for some reason couldn't, and so Daivd stepped in?

No idea, just pondering .....
Tbf, JoMo and David played Ilkley so maybe youre right, it was planned that way; they lost round one at Ilkley though.
FORT WORTH - Wimbledon has unofficially become the home Slam of TCU men's tennis.
On Wednesday, Jack Pinnington and Lui Maxted were each awarded a wild card onto the main draw of The Championships, Wimbledon 2025, by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
Pinnington received a wild card in singles while Maxted secured his ticket to London in doubles.
Their selections give the Horned Frogs four confirmed participants at the sport's most storied event. Fellow program alumni Jake Fearnley and Cam Norrie received direct entry in singles on the strength of their respective ATP rankings of No. 49 and No. 60.
TCU has sent six current or graduated players to Wimbledon since 2022, all of whom earned All-American honors during their tenures as Frogs. Alastair Gray won an opening round singles match in 2022. Reese Stalder competed in the doubles draw in each of the last two seasons and reached the round of 16 in 2023.
The Horned Frogs have now placed multiple players on the Wimbledon main draw in three straight years and five times since 1991.
Pinnington earned his second consecutive Wimbledon wild card. He and Fearnley played doubles together at the 2024 Championships. Pinnington positioned himself for a main draw invite via a defining performance at the Lexus Ilkley Open during the week of June 9-15. He reached his first ATP Challenger level final on Sunday after defeating two ATP top-150 players in the earlier rounds. Pinnington achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 282 following his run to the championship.
Maxted is set to debut at the All England Club, where he will partner with Connor Thomson. The four-time national champion formed the nation's No. 1 ranked doubles team with Pedro Vives in 2024-25. The senior duo won the NCAA Doubles Championship in November. Maxted compiled a 179-66 career combined record across his four seasons on the purple courts, highlighted by a 65-17 mark this past year. He ranks eighth in program history in career combined winning percentage (.731).
Pinnington, Maxted and Fearnley's legacies personify TCU tennis' golden era. The trio were teammates from 2022-24. They led TCU its first NCAA Championship in 2024 as well as a repeat ITA Indoor National Championship and 2023. Fearnley and Maxted delivered TCU its first national title in 2022 when the program claimed the crown at Indoor Nationals. Maxted is one of only two four-time national champions in program history alongside Vives.
