Who will get the Wimbledon 2025 Women's Wild Cards

Yes, it isn't a question whether the named foreign players will or won't get a wildcard. It's more a question of if they DON'T get that wildcard who might get it instead.
And as for bumping up someone from qualies to the main draw, it doesn't matter if you name someone for both - although you can obviously only get one point !

OK .... so I could put player X in BOTH qualis and main draw?

Didn't realise ...... biggrin

Now that requires different tactics smile

Realised no point in not naming 8 Brits for the MDWC, so edited above TA to take out Kvitova and Boisson (although I think they will get them) and put in 2 other Brits

Though as I understand it you only get a point if you've assigned a player the correct WC.

So if you have moved 2 Brits from Q WC to MD WC, and then these 2 end up with a Q WC because say Kvitova and Boissin get MD WCs, then you won't get points for them.

But if youve got them in both lists? Youd get points for the right list? Thats what TA says above unless Im not reading properly!?

Per this. implication is you could name 8 same players in both lists and get a point wherever they land. But clearly this approach would max out at 8 Points?

Tbf it would be a better competition if you could only name a player once and therefore had to get it spot on.

You are correct Indi, but if you include a player in both lists (permitted) then you will get a point for a correct prediction and none for the wrong prediction.

BTW Boisson is already in qualifying with SR153 but Kvitova is not on the entry lists.

Edit - there have been a few posts between me reading Indi's first respose to JonH and posing myself

Ah, sorry Jon, I hadn't realised you'ed gone that cunning naming in both lists option.

Now, excuse me while I try to decide who to bump up as an 8th Brit into the MD list while still keeping them in the Q list

Yes...

Also you should get a point away for every wrong answer, that way you don't have to fill up all your picks just for the sake of it as this doesn't require much skill...

I would suggest that the rules have been set.

But next time ...

I've read through the above and tried to make sense of it!! Here's my pick although it would be different if I included overseas players.

MD: Heather, Harriet, Fran, Jodie, Marnie, Mimi, Lily, Ella (don't expect the last two to get them)

Q: Lily, Ella, Hannah, Mika, Emily App, Ranah, Katie Swan, Naikta and Millie R (through the play offs)

I'm going to lead off with our best grass court player by a country mile :

MDWC : Katie S, Fran, Hannah, Jodie, Mimi, Marni, Ella, Ranah

Also : I'm assuming Heather and Harriet qualify as of right to the qualifying draw (is this true?)

QWC : Marni, Ella, Ranah, Mika, Lily, Brooke, Angelica, Millie R (last two through the play offs)
