Another year another shocker for the Nottingham mens scheduler (Laura Robson?)

After a wholly avoidable case of Evo vs Charlie Broom indoors last year, we now dont have mens qualies finished on a dry weekend. When will there be some accountability?

It can't be Laura Robson, surely, biggrin given she was at Queens all weekend where she's the tournament director there, and has been all week, and was watching the final and shaking hands with winners and finalists this afternoon

Amy Hitchinson may be the tournament director, direct your ire at her if she is, not Laura

Of the 12 matches completed in the mens, 9 went to 3 sets and 6 went to 2 hours. And Paul and Jan is also going to 3 sets and played nearly 2 hours. Tbf, I think they got unlucky with that.

They did though schedule a couple of men's MD R1 matches. They've got away with it though

Hopefully get a couple more wins there from the remaining rd1 matches. All 4 have a decent chance but not sure all 4 will actually do it.

In the doubles, just noticed there is a German pair at 16th in the Race who are playing Nottingham

16 Jakob Schnaitter 29 GER 1153 Nottingham 2 R16 1178 1278
Mark Wallner 25 GER

I have never heard of these two, presumably they have accumulated points in Challengers, where I tend to not really study doubles draws too much. Anyway, getting to 16th from challengers only isnt bad and suggests they may be worth a watch out for

They're actually drawn to play the WCs, Lui Maxted & Connor Thomson, in the first round - cf. first page of this thread.
