I think if this was the last 16 of an M15 or M25 in the UK, we would be quite happy with the standard of the entry. Which is spot on, probably, with the level this event is aimed at.

Kyle and Harry W both have a grass court win this season, from Ilkley qualies, and is the only match between two players with a win on grass so far. For me though, Giles v Anton is most interesting - Giles has two wins on grass in 2025, Anton none but we haven't yet seen Anton on the grass, so hard to know how he will come out

Think Anton played one on grass didn't he but lost? He's usually pretty good though but think Giles is a bit underrated right now so very interesting! I hope and this is just hope Fery gets the upgrade and then there's 4 spots so 4 of these guys get in... to much hope but theres a lot of good players here who i think could win at least a round at Qualies.

Sorry, yes, Anton lost to JoMo at Ilkley in two tight sets. Should be an interesting match, nonetheless. Lots of interesting matches.

with ladies starting at 11, it will be most likely 2 pm or later before the mens action starts.

Couldn't remember who but yes that's the one, assume no live coverage? would be good to watch in the background whilst working...

Two players I thought we might see here are Felix Gill (not sure where he is at generally) and Emile Hudd (not been around for a few months?).

Anyone know their status. Other than that, think all the relevant players are here?

Just to add the obvious:

As someone said previously, this is really a very big event in the GB tennis year

There are only 16 players

And there are 2 prizes of £15.5k (minimum)

A MILES bigger prize that normally on offer, and a one in eight chance of getting it

Yes, that's as good an attendance record as I can ever recall.

Our top 28 ranked players are now involved in the Wimbledon process, including here our top 13 who weren't previously in, leaving Emile, GB #29, as the first name missing.

The 4 seeds should be Gray, Hussey, Broom and Parker.

So, to sum up:

PQR1:  (pq1) Alastair Gray WR 371 (CH = 237 in September 2022) vs Max Basing WR 598 (CH = 587 in February)
PQR1:  Millen Hurrion WR 808 (CH = 681 in April last year) vs Aidan McHugh WR 496 (CH = 298 in February 2022)

PQR1:  Ewen Lumsden WR 591 (CH = 585 last week) vs James Story WR 561 (CH = 557 last  week)
PQR1:  (pqWC) Connor Thomson UNR (CH = 1283 in November 2023) vs (pq3) Charles Broom WR 439 (CH = 235 last June)

PQR1:  (pq2) Giles Hussey WR 379 (CH = 304 last August) vs Anton Matusevich WR 464 (CH = 399 in August 2021)
PQR1:  Harry Wendelken WR 494 (CH = 466 in October 2023) vs Kyle Edmund WR 476 (CH = 14 in October 2018)

PQR1:  Hamish Stewart WR 545 (CH = 478 in March last year) v Ben Jones WR 639 (CH = 620 last month)
PQR1:  Liam Broady WR 595 (CH = 93 in September 2023) vs (pq4) Stuart Parker WR 443 (CH = 346 in October 2022)

Given that there's no official draw sheet that I can find, I've invented my own form of labelling for the rounds & seeded the players on the basis of their respective current rankings.  Feel free to shoot me down in flames.

I think they have just 4 seeds in this, given a 16 player draw.
