Week 26 - ATP 250 - Lexus Open - Devonshire Park, Eastbourne, Great Britain (grass)

A fine return at the incoming volleyer's feet followed by a backhand winner and a UE from Duckworth set up 3 matchpoints for Henry at 5-4* but he couldn't convert so we go on at 5-5

What a shame or Henry, that's going to be a tough one to take for him. But on the positive side he pushed a top 100 to the end and was in a winning position.

Henry paid for not taking his chances going down 7-5 in the third (he had one chance to break back, snuffed out by a service winner)
JoMo missed a matchpoint netting a makeable pass at 5-3 40-30* in the decider, but has a chance to serve it out at 5*-4

JoMo's lucky number is 4 as he takes his 4th matchpoint to win 6-4 in the third

Watching on bet365 I was convinced his 3rd match point landed on the base line but was called out. Anyone else see that?

Might have been safer with his shoes on?

I sincerely hope that it didn't get that violent!

Indeed - and even better tiebreaker (though one or two of his serves might have been close to toe breakers)smile

I don't recall the detail of the point, other than I didn't feel Henry was hard done by - and didn't notice him questioning the call.
