I am never sure either why George L doesn't play more. He does seem to have a decent game and on the few occasions we see him play he does rather well. Surely this guy could be ranked much higher and near the main tour if he played a better schedule. I remember him being mentioned a few years back as a good prospect.
I can only assume injuries? This year he's coming up to his most matches played in a year though! The last game before the grass swing he gave a walkover in I think the QF of a challenger so presumably an injury. But yes he has a lot of talent one of my favs when fit so hopefully stays it! Along with Fery if they stay fit I'll be happy!

A man after my heart
I don't know the story re injuries but I do know that he had a bit of a wobble about whether he was commited to tennis, the travelling, the grind - he took some time off, wasn't sure if it was him, did some studies, I believe, did some odd jobs (bar work in Mayfair), just was finding himself ...
And I very much hope that he's now decided that the tennis court is where he wants to be (and is injury free so it's where he can be, as well)

Given when fit George is miles to good for M25s I think if he can get it going consistently he should look towards the top 150 at least! 31 wins this season when not always playing and halfway through... no offence to Harris as I think he's getting it all from his game if he can push top 100 why can't George? Fery as well was already pushing top 200 when he started getting injuries... would be nice to get a few more pushing there and were in agreement these two certainly could... doesn't mean they will but I'll always back them and was glad when Arthur got the last WC
OOP is out for both mens and women. I have tickets for tomorrow and I have to say I am a bit gutted. In singles there is Dan and Fran and thats it for British singles interest. And they could clash. There are several doubles matches later which are not so much my thing. Tuesday will be a Brit Watch paradise....they could have split it a little more even!
Do you think he has chance of a LL spot in main draw?
Hopefully Billy sticks around for 24 hours, as you never know.....
Also welcome to the board Hal R!
Billy will have a big drop now after this week, down to 142 in the world. But in some ways, hopefully he can now rebuild without the pressure of the looming points to defend and trying to get into the top 100 so much on his shoulders. It has seemed to have been a bit of a burden for the last year.

I am there tomorrow as well and share your view that the projected OOP was a tad disappointing albeit there are lots of matches on.
Fortunately, for me, I am staying over so hopefully Tuesday will be a bumper day.
Im sorry that your day wont be as good as you would have liked it.

Poor Billy. And 142 is his predicted ranking for tomorrow after last year's Queen's 100 points come off. It looks like he will be down to about WR 170 on 30/06 after last year's Eastbourne 100 points then come off.

He had a shoulder injury and abductor tear last year, hence his career stalling for a while.
