Emily gets a break point, saved with an ace. And another. Saved with a good serve up the T. And a third, she's in this one, plays a dreadful drop shot.
Ugh. Now Emily can't convert 40-0*. A little bit of good serving from Palicova but mainly just not committing to the shots on these big points. That's a fourth gone at advantage.
*3-3
Gar. She's created the opportunities she needed. It usually comes back to bite you...
Elsewhere Shibihara led 5-1* in the second set, missed four match points before losing the tiebreak. Then led 5-2* in the third and has just had to save break points to hold for 6-5*. So the Japanese forum are probably more stressed than us!

Always feels like just GB players put people through the ringer but another BP missed!
And misses another break point with a return error. Palicova gets a dead net cord but Emily saves the game point only to make a terrible error at deuce. A short ball again, she just pushes it long when she had the whole court.
Oh another bad miss on a short ball at *40-15, this time going for a dinky one over the net. Back to deuce, but a good serve for game point and then Palicova clips the top of the net and drops back on her side.
Minor Jeremy Bates thing. All through the 1st set and up to 6 -4 in the tiebreak for the 2nd set he was standing in the corner above the court by some railings. At 6-4 in the tiebreak he moved to the path running parallel to the court.
I thought it very stupid.
