Think I'll avoid! Very early in her return so won't read to much into this smile

She's struggling with her right thigh. Physio called.

Ella breaks. Her Latvian opponent looks very uncomfortable - real chance today for big, big win.

It's her back again and looks like her thigh as well.

Katie claws it back to 5-5, Ella serving for set 1, at 5*-4

Katie is so much the better player when she raises her level even a fraction. Just can't sustain it. The Spaniard tightened right up at *5-4 and struggling with the wind too.

Not watching but Swan seems to play well when behind and then not well when she's caught up haha

Ugh Katie, a couple of really weak errors to hand the game to the Spaniard again 5-6*

It would have taken so little for her to turn this match on it's head but just can't keep any consistentcy.

Katie loses 7-6(2) 7-6(6)

Just couldn't bring good enough tennis consistently across the match to turn it around. She was more than capable of winning that fairly comfortably. Tiebreak was a great example, played three super points to save three match points, then makes a poor error sending a basic slice backhand a foot long, then get her footwork all wrong and sends a forehand out to lose it.

Frustrating, just hope the thigh and back are ok - she's been through so much just to get here.
