Week 26 - Wimbledon, Women's Qualifying - Grass

Katie hit a lot of balls just out and too many service faults but the spanish lady was ok on grass and played quite a few drops that Katie found difficult early on.

Saw the end of the match on court one with Boisson losing, and Ella taking the first set. She just keeps getting the ball back

Yes the main thing is I just really hope Katie is OK, especially the back which they thought they'd got to the bottom of.

The level was generally best second half of the second set, actually after her MTO.

She should have lost the second set TB 3-7, really careless shot at the end of the point by Romero Gormaz kept her in it and she got it back 6-6 with very good play.

It'll probably be the best level opponent she has played in her comeback. Again, just really hope she will be physically OK to build and move on.

Millie gets a bit overexcited on her two break points and sends big swing returns well long on both.

Both MTOs looked serious but both came back on probably stronger and more consistent

Millie misses another break point. Just needs to be careful about letting these opportunities pass her by early on.

That's a shame, the Latvian plays a superb return game to break Ella to love and win the second 7-5.

Shymanovic trying to be aggressive but Millie is absorbing the power so far. Good chance of getting something from this match.

Ella looks like her belief she can win this has gone. Which is a shame, as should really could have done it.

Ella is very nearly at the right level but really struggles to have belief in the shots that could finish points far earlier. Her overheads in this final set have been pretty dire - she clearly doesn't have confidence in them at all.

Still a chance to pull it back though - only the one break.
