Weeks 27 & 28 - The Championships, Wimbledon (grass) - main draw

The draws will be made tomorrow, with or without the two lads (& one lass) who've ensured that there's been Brit interest until the final day of qualifying, but I thought I'd set the ball rolling by sharing this fascinating interview with our very own Adam Jones, who's been a hitting partner at Wimbledon since 2022 - & in great demand, by the sounds of it.  smile  While it starts off with stories about the "big names" who've used him in SW19, it finishes with some interesting insights into the drudgery of life on the Futures circuit, including an amusing tale of how he, Ewen Lumsden & Llewelyn Bevan camped on the ninth hole of a golf course in Sintra for two weeks because none of them had any money.  That certainly puts things in perspective!

On the subject of the money earned, I must say that Wimbledon is being a bit tight-fisted if £125 a day + a contribution to food & racket-string is indeed all it pays Adam & his fellow hitters.

Roll on next Monday!

So the draw is meant to be announced at 10am today ie 3 min ago - where can we see if first? I wanted to just check it quick before starting a new work task

The full draw will be on https://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/draws/gentlemens-singles but there will probably be comments on social media before the website is updated.

Bit more reasonable than the ladies draw at least! Draper a hard route but maybe takes some pressure off?

Fairly happy with Jay getting a Brit because of all the Brits Jay hasn't really got going on grass anyway!
