If you watch Harriet play you have to wonder if she gets any joy out of playing. She just looks angry frustrated and at the point of tears throughout. I have to say Im not a big fan but hope shes OK as she seems to be in a bad place.
Agreed it's why I can't watch someone play who seems to be hating every second of it!
She's an important part of our top-rated alll-brit doubles team, with Maia Lumsden. And I agree she seems unhappy and frustrated on court often, and feel she might improve her singles results by working with a sports psychologist.
She didnt collect bakery products over 2 sets - she lost 5-7 in the third. For a wildcard, that's really NOT letting the side down.
Emma and Mimis handshake was a bit frosty - I guess they may not know each other too well.
They should do. Deffo. Maybe Mimi was cross with herself? She had chances but considering this was her first time in the main draw she acquitted herself very well. A few more wins in ItFs and she will build towards getting a qualifying berth in slams in her own right. Far far better to build it step by step than go on Emmas roller coaster journey. That goes for Mika and Hannah as well Meanwhile Katie is zoning according to Martina!

Katie did the exact same thing when playing Paula at the French last year, was in complete control and then started to bottle it in the 2nd and let Paula play herself into form.

Yes i thought that. Emma could have been a bit warmer/generous towards her.
I think it's fine if it's not all huggy huggy at the end. It was a must win match for Emma who's struggling physically; and Mimi knew she had chances. And it's extremely hot.
I thought Ostapenko's offer of a hug to Sonay was more indicative of her lack of fire today. She certainly wasn't looking to get involved in any long rallies.

I don't see any bullying, or saying she played awfully, just people pointing out she doesn't seem to be enjoying playing.
