 Like a bad smell

I am guessing that he hung around rather longer than he did after Emily App's FQR match. I watched him gather his things together before her last game and without any acknowledgement he was out of his courtside seat and away within 30 seconds of the conclusion.

I guess that Sonay's coach can't really tell him to **** off.

Sonay played really well - she really played HER game - so important and so tricky to do

However, in passing, when people here, or in the press, rant that our players are mental midgets, need sports psycholgists, always choke, or whatever, they really need to look at Diane Parry in that match

She was playing an aggressive game, working her points, coming to the net ... and then she stopped .... froze....just like a rabbit caught in the headlights - could barely hit a ball for several games .... double faults, nasty UEs, in a headspin as to what to do, and never really recovered - she probably couldn't have recovered because Sonay now had the wind in her sails - but the middle of that match was just excrutiating from Parry's point of view

So, for Katie B or whoever, it happens, it's not just us

Bravo, Sonay - a really super match - and bravo to Ben the coach (don't know who that other guy is - does he have a security clearance?)

A great incentive for next year if both Emma and Sonay lose their next match.

It makes me chuckle the amount of love there is for JB on this board. The only coaches that count are Ben Reeves and Julie Hobbs (Pullin). Such a nice set-up down there and delighted for them all.

Great win for Sonay.

So glad to see her just getting on with things.

I really think she will be the British number 1 soon and leave Katie and Emma behind.

LL Sierra vs Siegemund in R4

Seeds 2 to 6 out. Nae luck Emma, but hey if you were to beat Sabalenka ( and then Mertens or Svitolina in R4 ) ...

Many congratulations to Sonay. A real success story of hard work and determination that came came from humble beginnings.
I just love this type of success. What a gem she is for British women's tennis.

It was a day for experience as Siegmund and Pavs won. Amazingly Pavs Sonay's next opponent made her Wimbledon singles debut in 2007! 18 years ago.
