Weeks 27 & 28 - The Championships, Wimbledon (grass) - DOUBLES

L64:  Francisco Cabral & Lucas Miedler (POR/AUT) CR 86 (40+46) vs Jamie Murray & Rajeev Ram (USA) CR 71 (34+37)

L64:  (WC) Lui Maxted & Connor Thomson UNR (905+0) vs (8) Nikola Mektic & Michael Venus (CRO/NZL) CR 33 (13+20)  bleh

L64:  (6) Joe Salisbury & Neal Skupski CR 28 (17+11) vs (WC) Charles Broom & Joshua Paris CR 262 (158+104) hmm

L64:  (5) Julian Cash & Lloyd Glasspool CR 27 (16+11) vs Tallon Griekspoor & Botic van de Zandschulp (NED/NED) CR 331 (154+177)

L64:  (WC) Johannus Monday & David Stevenson CR 419 (321+98) vs Mattia Bellucci & Fabian Marozsan CR 1025 (434+591)

L64:  (WC) Billy Harris & Marcus Willis CR 997 (888+109) vs Alexander Bublik & Flavio Cobolli (KAZ/ITA) CR 534 (345+189)
L64:  (WC) Daniel Evans & Henry Searle CR 2359 (1178+1181) vs (2) Harri Heliövaara (FIN) & Henry Patten CR 6 (3+3)

All but the top two matches are in the bottom half of the draw.

A great shame that Luke's wrist injury prevents him from joining the jamboree (I see that Sander has joined up with Arthur Rinderknech), but at least David Stevenson will have his moment in the sun this year.  I'm no Mystic Meg, but he & JoMo may well stand a chance of reaching the last 32.

Well it isn't going to be an all-British final. A shame all the top pairs are in the bottom half, but a good chance of a Wimbledon finalist. That said, RG champions Granollers and Zeballos are present too, and they are two-time finalists, but haven't played a grass court warm-up.

So the other two wildcard slots never got used in the end?

It was just the five pairs?

I could say I was referring to all-British pairs. But yes I am.
