A lot happening this week in various events it feels. Julys nominations close Sunday night in case anyone feels tempted to make a nomination or add to an existing one later in the weeks play.
1. Oliver Bonding - unseeded he wins the Roehampton J300 pre Wimbledon singles title, with some very good wins and dropping just one set along the way. GB's last winner was Jack PJ in 2021, Joao Fonseca won here in 2023. Oli followed up with reaching the boys doubles final at Wimbledon.
2. Oliver Tarvet - for winning his first round match at Wimbledon, his first match on the main tour, and putting up a creditable performance against the WR2 and defendingchampion, Carlos Alcaraz, on his debut on Centre Court.
3. Sonay Kartal- Fantastic Wimbledon for her , starting with a huge win over seeded Ostapenko, followed by straight sets wins against Tomova and Parry . No disgrace losing to slam finalist Pavluchenkova , in fact Sonay played a good match and had chances but experience told în the end. If she can beef up her second serve a little to make it less vulnerable her progress will be even quicker. And she is up there competing for British number 1 with Emma and Katie.
4. Cameron Norrie - Really great to see Cam back in the big time . Following his R16 finish at Roland Garros he went one better at Wimbledon with outstanding performances to beat stand out players Bautista, Tiafoe, Bellucci and an epic 5 set win over Jarry to reach the last 8. Alcaraz was always likely to be a match too far and so it proved but that does not take away a phenomenal tournament by Cam as the last Brit standing which has to make him a leading contender for POTM !
5. Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool - Wimbledon Mens Doubles Champions. Go to the top of the Race, qualify for ATP Tour Finals and to 3rd and 4th in the world rankings - enough said.
6. Fran Jones for winning the WTA 125 in France and setting a new career high of 104 in the post Wimbledon rankings.
7. Katie Swan winning the W35 in Spain on her come back road, beating the top two seeds and overtaking her PR
8. Emma Raducanu for her return to form at Wimbledon, defeating former champion Marketa Vondrousova in the second round and pushing world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the third. An incredible atmosphere on Centre Court.
9. Mimi Xu for reaching the semifinals of junior Wimbledon and second round of women's doubles to cap an excellent grass court season.
10. Katie O'Brien for winning the Invitational Mixed Doubles at Wimbledon with Thomas Johansson to become the most unexpected Wimbledon champion, and hopefully inspiring the players that she ccoaches.
11.Jack Pinnington Jones - beat Tomas Echeverry WR 53 in Wimbledon R1, then the following week, as 5th seed, won the Nottingham Challenger 50. These combined to take him up 91 places to a new CH 190 and GB #7
12. Jan Choinski - after a lean first half of 2025, Jan has won 2 challengers this month, in Troyes and Bunschoten.
Just 4 days left now for new nominations or updates to existing ones. A lot going on this week and much on the other side of the Atlantic, nominations will not close until late Sunday night, vote will be posted Monday morning.
Some of our players really pushing through for a potentially great week - mens and womens doubles at 250/500 levels, singles at 125 challenger level. Good to see!

Just looking at our list above, looks like Emma and Fran both need updated narratives over the weekend. Obviously they need to complete their events first, but anyone wishing to do the update please be aware it will need doing by Monday morning; I hope to post the poll before the working day, so before 8.
Singles finals tomorrow for Fran, Loffers and Jubby. Can Emma join them?
Tomorrow is the last day for nominations and narrative updates folks, dont miss the boat - Ill try and catch any obvious narrative updates that might be needed but for the women in particular, I may not be up to speed - so if someone could do the honours, please? And no need to leave to the original nominator, as they may not be around or up to date themselves.
Toby Samuel and James Connel in the World University Games. Toby for singles silver medal, James for singles bronze medal. Together for team bronze medal.
