Would be very happy to see this tournament return next year, it does seem to have effectively fulfilled what I assume is its purpose, and handed out a bunch of points and prize money to our players, despite the slightly sad crowd numbers.

Probably! It had been commented on earlier in the thread, and I more meant to bring it up as a 'disappointing but not surprising, and not, ultimately, I suspect, the point of the tournament'. Apologies if there was a lack of clarity.

I do think there is an opportunity to push less mainstream events and get more spectators, not just in Tennis but sport in general.
