They started inside, or were started then moved inside?

Ranah's having a pretty good run of luck here :)

That's two wins by retirement now

What a bizarre tournament for Ranah. Two retirements sandwiching a very unconvincing win over an unranked Indianna Spink.

SF:- Victoria Allen (GBR) / Amelia Rajecki (GBR) CR815 (551+264) [2] def Jamilah Snells (USA) / Viola Turini (ITA) CR1153 (569+584) [3] 6-3 6-2

So, not surprisingly based on the rankings, the top two seeded pairs meet in the final. My bet is on Millie and Victoria.

F:- Naiktha Bains (GBR) / Holly Hutchinson (GBR) CR533 (245+288) [1] v Victoria Allen (GBR) / Amelia Rajecki (GBR) CR815 (551+264) [2]

Zhang Shuai has reached the final with a very comfy straight sets win over Valdmannova. And now Ranah has started against Tan, and is an early break (*1-0) up.

Shuai will be a tough prospect in the final as she's coasted through this draw. She's only dropped 11 games in total.

Shuai Zhang is so much higher ranked than the rest of the draw. Makes you wonder why she is here rather than playing the WTA events this week.

Shame. Ranah was a set and a break up.

That was a nice match

Very close

Ranah had too many loose balls, as usual, but played some nice, loose arm, attacking tennis as well, which is two sides of the same coin

While she's been in better form since she snapped her losing streak last year, she's still been having staccato wins at Tour level so I guess dropping down has given her the chance to get a string of wins together (which has clearly worked). She will be clear favourite for the final, too, which would edge her very close to a US Open maindraw place I think.
